About Us
Messrs. Lee Ong & Kandiah is a medium size Malaysian law firm founded in 1992. Our senior partners were formerly practising in Singapore after which each of them returned to Malaysia at separate times before teaming up in the present firm. The firm has also grown through the years to the current position of 8 partners and a reasonably large complement of lawyers.
The firm's present practise recognises and addresses the need for expertise and specialisation in core areas of the law.
All work undertaken by the firm is partner-led with lawyers from the respective departments who are involved in the core areas of the law. At present, these core areas are handled by the following practices (in alphabetical order):-

Recognition Of Our Service
Euromoney Publications which publish Managing Intellectual Property conducted a world-wide survey to identify the leading IP firms in each country. The results were published in the March 1998 issue. We are proud to note that we are marked as one of the top 5 firms in Patent matters in Malaysia.
We are also proud to have been able to co-publish Euromoney's "Asia Law & Practice : Doing Business with Malaysia" 2004 publication with our contribution in the field of Labour & Employment Law.
In addition, our partners are the recommended shipping and admiralty lawyers in Malaysia in the year 2000 edition of the Euromoney IR1000 publication, together with our commercial practice.
Two of our senior partners have also been accorded recognition in the Corporate and Shipping sectors by Legalease in their latest publication of The Asia Pacific Legal 500, 2003/2004 Edition whilst four of our senior partners have been accorded recognition in The Asia Pacific Legal 500, 2004/2005 Edition in their respective fields of Shipping & Admiralty Practice, Corporate and Employment, Labour & Industrial Relations.
