General Litigation Practice
This practise, which covers a wide spectrum of civil litigation areas, include all matters pertaining to contract and commercial disputes, tort law (including defamation, trespass, conspiracy etc.), real estate (land ownership and/or interest ) disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, partnership law, trusts law, wills, probate and succession matters, non-banking debt recovery actions and quasi contract. Some of the pre-judgment or interlocutory matters undertaken by this practice include urgent applications for injunctive relief (including prohibitory, mandatory, Mareva, Anton-Pillar or Erinford orders), mandatory orders under the Specific Relief Act 1950, matters pertaining to the lodgement or removal of private caveats and pre-trial judgment or orders. Post-judgment enforcement of judgment or orders are also handled by this practice, which include registration of foreign judgments and/or commencement of civil proceedings for the enforcement of the same.
In this regard, the lawyers in this practise have significant trial and appellate experience and the appellate matters handled by this practise include the lodgement and conduct of civil appeals to the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Malaysia and all other matters in relation thereto.
