Probate & Administration of Estates

This practise is involved in the drafting and execution of wills and petitions to the High Court for Grants of Probate and all forms of Letters of Administration. The department advises executors and administrators of estates on all matters arising in the administration of estates and assists in the transmission and transfer of assets of the estate.

As a complement to the General Litigation practise, this practise also handles both contentious and non-contentious probate matters in the High Court which include forgery and/or invalidity of wills, fraud, negligence and/or misconduct on the part of the executor or administrator and distribution of estates.
