Securities & Corporate Litigation

This practice handles all matters relating to litigation pertaining to corporate and shareholder disputes, insolvency, corporate schemes of arrangement, corporate restructuring, joint-venture disputes, capital reduction and other corporate and commercial disputes.

One of the mainstays of this practice includes handling all aspects of shareholder disputes including winding-up petitions, creditor’s winding-up actions, rectification of the share register, stay applications to facilitate schemes of arrangements or corporate restructuring and injunctive relief. This practise overlaps with the general Litigation practice in the applying for, and obtaining, interlocutory preservation and/or relief of assets (usually by way of injunctions, the appointment of interim Receivers & Managers, Liquidators etc) pending final determination of the matter.
